My Web Design Person
wants my password
You should never
give your password to anyone. With it they can lock
you out of your DART account; or even upload content that can get your
account suspended or canceled. Ultimately, YOU are responsible for the
account.
The best thing to do is ask the Designer to send the files to you, and
then upload them to DART Yourself. You can find instructions for
uploading on our FTP HELP Page, and there
are simple FTP programs available FREE on our Software
Page that can be used to upload the pages.
If you absolutely must give the Designer access to upload
to your DART account, be sure that you change the password when they
are done. (Or even set it to a temporary password long enough for them
to work then change it back to your normal password.)

Can I secure files?
There is currently no way to lock individual files on DART,
however you can use the basic browser authentication to make folders
private. Doing this is a two step process:
- Create a username
and password in the FILE USERS section of the DART account manager.
- Mark the folder as private in
the DISK manager. (Scroll down to the folder details and click the word
PUBLIC to change it to PRIVATE)
