Can I Upload CGI Scripts?

You can upload them, but the script will be sent to the client as text, instead of actually running on our server. To run CGI scripts, you need a shell account or commercial web hosting account available from the Rexx main site.

What about JavaScript?

JavaScripts (and Java) are processed by the client web browser. Since they require no special processing by our server, they will work.

This also applies to any embedded media such as Macromedia Flash, Adobe Portable Documents and even Windows Media Player audio; all of which are handled by the client browser.

Why won't my PHP pages display?

PHP is a server-side scripting language which is built around the CGI standard. The DART servers will only transmit your web page "as-is." PHP is one of the many script languages supported on our normal/commercial web hosting services.

Can I sell (whatever) on DART?

Yes. Although DART is intended for "Personal Web Page" hosting we do not prohibit you from selling products from your site.

Spamvertising sites (such as for pharmaceuticals or dating sites) are not permitted on any Rexx server and are subject to cancellation and removal without refund.
